About Us

3-2-1 Empower is a registered 501(c)(3) founded in 2017 that is dedicated to empowering young female survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation in India. We believe that by providing survivors with the necessary skills and resources, we can help them heal, rebuild their lives, and contribute positively to their communities. But our mission doesn’t stop there. We also raise awareness of the dangers of human trafficking in the United States, and work to provide similar education and employment opportunities for survivors in Orange County, California.

Our six-month program teaches survivors an internationally recognized physical fitness certification course, which helps them improve their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We then fund their training apprenticeships, during which they work with fellow residents, staff, and other local organizations, and facilitate their move into transitional homes and finding work in neighboring gyms. This approach has been successful in helping survivors gain valuable employable skills that are well-suited for India’s $1.7 billion health and wellness industry.

Our partnership with Prerana, a Mumbai-based NGO that aims to end intergenerational prostitution, has been particularly impactful. Since we began working together, ten survivors have graduated from our fitness program with a group aerobic certificate, and a designated gym, supplied with strength training equipment, has been established in Prerana’s Naunihal Girls’ Shelter in Mumbai. We are also proud to share that a graduate of the program will soon be undertaking employment at a local gym.

Our primary focus remains on providing employment opportunities and healing for the girls in India, but we also recognize the importance of raising awareness of local human trafficking issues. That’s why we work closely with the Human Trafficking task force and with Vanguard University’s Global Center for Women and Justice in Orange County, California. By offering similar fitness and employment education in local safe houses, we hope to create a lasting impact and bring about positive change in the fight against human trafficking. With your support, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of survivors and work towards a world free from human trafficking.
